There is good news to report at the MCI:

  • The Entrepreneurial School® continues to expand its international partnerships with prestigious universities. A cooperation agreement was recently signed with Wuhan University (WHU) in China, one of the top 10 universities in the People's Republic.
  • In addition, MCI students can now complete an attractive double degree program in cooperation with the prestigious National Kaohsiung University of Science & Technology (NKUST) in Taiwan.

Wuhan University

Located on the Yangtze River, Wuhan University is one of the top ten universities in China and is ranked 225th in the QS World University Rankings as a top university. The university stands for tradition and high reputation in China and has made a strong name for itself in the past as an established research institution in China but also worldwide.
It has more than 40 schools, of which the " Economics and Management School" is the largest with 11 programs and more than 8,300 students and 282 faculty members. The agreement was concluded with the entire university, and the first exchange activities of students and research projects are planned with the "Economics and Management School".
Located about 800 km west of Shanghai, Wuhan is one of the fastest-growing regions in China with a current population of 8 million and has a subtropical climate with beautiful promenades and parklands. Wuhan University is considered the "most beautiful university" in China. Its central location and good connections to the most important metropolises of the People's Republic of China make Wuhan a sought-after city for science, art, culture and tourism.

National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology

The cooperation with the Taiwanese partner university NKUST has been extended to include an attractive double degree agreement. Students from MCI and NKUST can study at both universities and obtain a degree from both MCI and NKUST at the same time, which, apart from the added value in terms of content, paves the way to top professional positions.

At MCI, the Master's program in International Business & Law benefits in particular. The cooperation between MCI and NKUST has existed since 2015; since then, 28 students have taken advantage of the opportunity to study at the partner university for a semester or year. NKUST, which merged in 2018 out of two universities, is a major player in Taiwan's academic landscape with more than 28,000 students and five different campuses. With a population of 2.8 million, the coastal city of Kaohsiung is Taiwan's second-largest city - a democracy that combines cutting-edge technology with beautiful nature.

"Our collaborations with these two outstanding universities significantly increases MCI's visibility, reputation and connections in China and Asia, respectively. This enables us to build important bridges to China and intensify exchanges in this dynamic region," explains Prof. Wei Manske-Wang, Director of the China Center at MCI.

"The two agreements with WHU and NKUST offer great opportunities for researchers, faculty and students of the Entrepreneurial School® and open doors to dynamic growth regions with impressive economic and technological opportunities. The partnership once again confirms our reputation as a high-quality European university in the competition for the best minds," MCI Rector Andreas Altmann is pleased to report.
