INNOVATION AND INSPIRATION - Building Bridges between DACH Area and Shenzhen
Shenzhen-Innsbruck Economic and Trade Exchange Forum - a joint event between Shenzhen European Office and MCI China Center - was held successfully on November 21, 2022 at MCI in Innsbruck.
MCI Rector Prof. Andreas Altmann opened the forum. The event was attended by representatives from key government departments and business associations from both Shenzhen and Austria. Meng Fanzhuang, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Austria, Sun Xiaoyu, Chief Representative of Shenzhen European Office, Dr. Eugen Stark, Managing Director of the Federation of Austrian Industry Tyrol, and Mag. Gregor Leitner, Vice Director of the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce & Head of Department Foreign Trade delivered welcoming speeches.
Dr. Yuan Xin of Shenzhen European Office Germany and Dr. Wing-Hin Chung of Invest HK explained the business environment, latest industrial planning, and investment policies of Shenzhen and Hongkong, as well as the latest developments and future blueprints of the emerging Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Christian Hafner of Lebensraum Tirol Holding illustrated Tyrol's sustainable ecosystem under the title "Tirol- on its way to a model region in the heart of the Alps." Hermann Winkler, founder of SnowHowChina and Co-Founder Snow 51, gave an exciting insight into how he connected the two different worlds with a success story of the Tyrolean winter sport lifestyle in China.
Prof. Wei Manske-Wang, Head of MCI China Center, moderated the Panel Discussion, in which Chi Ye, CEO of Xingyun Group Austria, Florian Kahr from Tirol Tourist Board & Hebei -Triol Cooperation Management, and Dr. Wolfgang Penzias, Vienna Representative ETIIC sarl Geneva Switzerland participated and shared their personal experiences on how to build bridges between DACH and China.
Guests and participants enjoyed Chinese food and networking at the end of the meeting. The friendly atmosphere created opportunities for conversation and future collaboration.
This event drew the attention and participation of more than 80 students, academics, and business professionals from around the DACH region - Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
