Shaping the future: With courage, creativity, and vision

The future does not happen by chance – it is shaped by people. By those who dare to think differently, make bold decisions, and take responsibility for tomorrow. This is exactly who we give a voice to in our podcast.

As the UNESCO Chair in Futures Capability for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, we speak with people who are shaping the future with vision: founders, thinkers, and changemakers from Tyrol and around the world.

At the heart of our work is a new generation of future shapers who want to make a difference. We place particular emphasis on increasing the visibility of women and young people—as entrepreneurs, innovators, and shapers of a sustainable future.

“Vision Possible” explores how individuals and organizations can remain capable of action in times of change and uncertainty. The podcast offers insights and impulses that foster confidence, future courage, and future-oriented skills.

A central competency we promote is Futures Literacy—the ability not only to imagine the future, but to actively shape it. Recognized by UNESCO as a key skill for the 21st century, Futures Literacy sharpens our awareness of new possibility spaces, strengthens critical thinking and creativity, and enhances adaptability and decision-making in an uncertain world. It also helps cultivate a positive attitude toward change and positions visionary thinking as a driving force for sustainable innovation.

The podcast supports a key strategic objective of the UNESCO Chair and is also integrated into the research project “ZUKUNFTSGESTALTER:INNEN,” funded by the Tyrolean Young Researchers’ Program.
