Workshop for automated machine loading of small series

Event partner: SCHUNK Intec GmbH | Universal Robots (Germany) GmbH

Topic: Collaborative Robotics

On March 3rd, 2020 the Center for Production, Robotics & Automation - a joint initiative of the Entrepreneurial School® and the Federation of Austrian Industries (IV) Tyrol - provided information about possible solutions for flexible machine loading based on collaborative robot systems. In cooperation with SCHUNK Intec GmbH and Universal Robots GmbH, around 20 participants in small groups were able to get to know and test the technological status of some of the clamping and gripping technology and collaborative robot systems available on the market. In addition to the project-specific selection of the technologies to be used, machine safety in particular must already be taken into account in the concept phase. With its broad network, the Center for Production, Robotics & Automation supports Tyrolean companies as early as in the concept phase with the ideal combination of hardware and software providers, service providers, system integrators and R&D facilities. Through the joint implementation of feasibility studies or the creation of functional prototypes, sustainable solutions for flexible machine equipment can be generated.
